Ely 3-day Adventure - Bear Center, Wolf Center, Soudan Mine

July 10-12
Nature and wildlife lovers do not want to miss this great 3-day trip to Ely, Minnesota. Highlights include: tours of the Dorothy Molter Museum, North American Bear Center, Wolf Center and Soudan Underground Mine State Park. Trip includes deluxe motor coach transportation, lodging for two nights at the Grand Ely Lodge, tours mentioned above, two breakfasts, two lunches, one dinner, coffee and roll at Tobies and a professional tour director. $580 per person (double occupancy), $760 per person (single occupancy). Arboretum in the Spring  

Wednesday, May 23
This trip starts with a luncheon at Lord Fletcher’s Old Lake Lodge overlooking Lake Minnetonka. The menu includes grilled chicken breast with au gratin potatoes, seasonal vegetables, salad, bread and coffee or tea. Next, arrive at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen where you will board the Trumpet Creeper Tram for a narrated riding tour of gardens and woodlands, highlighting the many collections, displays and demonstration gardens. Following the tour, spend time on the grounds or shop at the gift store. $70/members, $80/non-members.
Leave the Heritage Center at 9:30 a.m., return at 5:30 p.m.

Pearl of the Lake Cruise

Tuesday, June 19
First stop on this trip is lunch at the Chickadee Cottage Café in Lake City which includes: old-fashioned chicken salad with grapes, almonds and ring pasta in a delectable creamy dressing, fresh fruit, homemade nut bread, beverage and a dessert. Enjoy a scenic cruise on Lake Pepin and the Mississippi River aboard Pearl of the Lake, a modern-day replica of the grand riverboats that traveled the Mississippi River in the 1800s. Learn about the history and take in the natural beauty of the river valley. You will also hear how environmental factors impact our Great Mississippi River. Leave the Heritage Center at 9:15 a.m., return at 4 p.m. Sign up with payment by Monday, May 14.
