"If I Were Mayor for a Day" contest

League of Minnesota Cities logo

The "If I Were Mayor for a Day" contest is a fun way for kids to talk about their city and community. This year’s contest notes that “Cities provide a variety of services and programs that make our lives better, including parks & recreation, street maintenance, water and sewer, libraries, police, fire and more!" If you were mayor for a day, what would you do to make one of the services that the City of Lakeville provides even better?

This contest is open to students in grades 4-6. Three winners will be chosen and each winner will be awarded a $100 prize and their essays will be published in the League of Minnesota Cities' publication, Minnesota Cities magazine.

Completed forms must be postmarked by October 12, 2018.
