  1. Renaissance and Flemish Oil Painting

    For ages 18+

    Beginners will learn the basics of the seven-layer method of painting used by the old Renaissance and Flemish masters, while intermediate/advanced students will continue with more advanced skills. Students will observe still life objects and paint the subject using this multi-layered method of oil painting. Supply lists will be available at the time of registration which includes canvas, oil paint, and brushes. For first-time students, all supplies except brushes will be provided.

  2. Hard Cover Post Bound Journal

    For ages 16+

    This class is sponsored by the Lakeville Area Arts Center and Dakota County Library. Preregistration is required, admission is free.

    Use recycled materials to make a hard cover post book for binding single sheets of new or used paper to use as a journal or sketch pad. The removable screw posts make it easy to add and subtract sheets as you go. Presented by the Minnesota Center for Book Arts.

  3. Pottery: Wheel-throwing & Hand-building

    For ages 15+

    Beginning/Intermediate level

    Demonstrations will cover hand-building and basic wheel-throwing techniques for beginners, as well as more advanced concepts for intermediate students. Students work at their own pace with both individualized and group instruction. Bring an old bath towel.
