Lakeville Area Arts Center Closed November 21-December 18

The Arts Center will be closed for all in-person classes and theater events scheduled from November 21 to December 18, 2020. The Arts Center will remain open for pickup and drop off of Art Kits To-Go, and specified livestream/virtual events and programs. Current students and ticket holders will receive additional instructions by email. We encourage you to check out our livestream and virtual class options during this closure.

COVID-19 Arts Center Class Refund Policy

Valid through December 31, 2020


Due to the current uncertainties caused by COVID-19, the Parks & Recreation Department has developed a temporary cancellation policy, which will be in effect through December 31, 2020. 
 
Cancellations made by the City: Registration fees for a program cancelled by the Parks & Recreation Department will be fully refunded.
 
Cancellations made by participant: We request a minimum of 48 hours advance notice of cancellations when possible due to costs incurred for program supplies and instructor’s time. Participant cancellations will be processed with no cancellation fee. Any cancellations due to illness or injury after the program start date will receive a prorated refund upon request, prorated from the date of notification.

Cancellations can be made over the phone during business hours by calling 952-985-4640. No online cancellations.

General Participant Protocols


City Facility Status

Open Facilities: If you have a cough, fever, chills, sore throat or other symptoms, STOP, do not enter any City facility. If you enter a facility, you must practice social distancing and it is required that you wear a mask at all times. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you.

  • City Hall: The building is now open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
  • Parks & Recreation: Parks & Recreation is currently registering for many programs. If a program has been canceled due to COVID-19, online registration will not be available. There are also a number of new programs including both virtual classes and kits that can be completed at home. If you have a question about a program, contact Parks & Recreation at 952-985-4600.
  • Fire Station 4: The building is now open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Closed Facilities:

  • Lakeville Heritage Center: The Heritage Center will be temporarily closed from November 23, 2020-January 10, 2021 to minimize the spread of COVID-19. Several Lakeville Area Active Adults programs will be held virtually while the center is closed. Visit LakevilleHeritageCenter.com for more information.
  • Central Maintenance Facility is closed to the public.
  • Water Treatment Facility is closed to the public.
  • Lakeville Police Department is closed to the public. The Data Request, Permit to Purchase and Solicitor registration forms are available on this website.
  • Lakeville Ames and Hasse Arenas are closed to the public.
