Coronavirus update

Following the Governor’s Emergency Executive Order 20-20 of March 25, 2020 directing Minnesotans to “Stay at Home,” the City of Lakeville will continue to close public access to facilities to limit the potential for community transmission of COVID-19.

The closure includes Lakeville City Hall, Central Maintenance Facility and the Water Treatment Facility through April 10. The order also advises that other public accommodations that allow for larger public gatherings remain closed until May 1, those include Lakeville Area Arts Center, Heritage Center, and Hasse and Ames Arenas.

Most City services will continue without interruption. City employees will be available by telephone and email during the facility closures. We will continue to provide additional updates as they become available on this page.

You can contact us at 952-985-4640.

The closures impact the upcoming events at the Lakeville Area Arts Center:

  • Mini-Narnia, March 28
  • The Young & The Rest by Simple Gifts, March 29
  • A Tribute to Queen, April 4

Other community events and programs that will be canceled include:

  • All adult and youth pottery programs
  • Private rentals, including private art parties and church
  • Gallery exhibits
  • In-person ticket sales

We are continuing to evaluate our community events and facilities and will be making decisions about the appropriate level of preparedness and care that is necessary to protect the community.

Class participants will automatically receive a household credit for any missed program dates, or can request a refund by calling 952-985-4640. Those holding tickets through April 3, 2020 will automatically receive a refund to their credit card or a household credit for tickets purchased by cash, check or gift card.
