What safety procedures are in place for in-person programming?

It is more important than ever to make valuable social connections while practicing proper social distancing and sanitary procedures. Lakeville Parks & Recreation strives to ensure your experience is as safe as possible and fun. Procedures may evolve based on current recommendations and the program you are involved with. Below are our minimum COVID-19 procedures - additional procedures may be in place depending on the program you are involved with.

  • Hand sanitation: Participants must sanitize hands at a minimum upon arrival and departure of the program. Additional hand sanitization may take place during the class depending on the length and activities of the class.
  • Equipment: Equipment will be sanitized, at a minimum, prior to the start of each class and after class. When possible, programs will avoid sharing supplies.
  • Masks: Required for indoor programs, recommended for outdoor programs.
  • Group sizes: Group sizes will be kept small in accordance with the current Minnesota Department of Health guidelines.
  • Proper social distancing: Activities will be planned in a manner that accommodates a minimum of 6 feet of space between participants.
  • Illness: A participant is required to stay home if they are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or if they have exposure to others with COVID-19 symptoms/illness in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to other participants and instructors. The Parks & Recreation department has established a COVID-19 Refund Policy (PDF) in case of illness.
