Considered to be one of the finest art festivals south of the river, the Lakeville Art Festival is held the third weekend in September in historic downtown Lakeville, Minnesota on the grounds of the Lakeville Area Arts Center. Featuring over 90 artists on the park-like grounds allow the unique use of a circular type arrangement of artist booths, providing an intimate and accessible setting.
Take a break and stop by the Lakeville Liquors beer and wine tent for a beverage!

Join researchers from the North Central Bird Observatory for an up-close and personal look at local and migrant wild birds. In this ongoing research project, the public will observe the capture of birds using mist nets and the collection of data including placing identifying bands on the birds. Birds are then released back into the wild. It’s a great way for families to learn about the science of bird banding. Event will take place rain or shine.

Infant under 8 months on the first day of the session are free with a registered sibling. Free infant must be born after January 21, 2019. All infants, whether siblings or not, are welcome.
Sing, dance, play, learn! Award-winning music and movement classes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers—and the grownups who love them. Experience delightful ways to interact musically with your child, all designed to support his or her overall development. The rich music environment in class, full of opportunities for experimentation and play, will help your child grow into a confident, lifelong music maker while supporting her cognitive, social, emotional, physical and verbal development at the same time. Classes are 45 minutes of pure fun each week and are mixed-age so siblings can attend together. Receive a CD, a code to download the music, an illustrated songbook and parent education materials.
