    Come out and support our local artists!

    This free festival will host approximately 60 juried exhibiting artists in ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking and wood. Food trucks and strolling musicians will also be part of the event.

    Face masks and social distancing will be required. If you do not have a face mask, one will be provided to you. You must also sign up to visit during a specific time slot using SignUp Genius.

  1. Driver Safety Class 4 hour Refresher

    The Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center conducts driver safety classes at the Heritage Center. Drivers 55+ may be eligible for a 10% discount on their auto insurance. An 8-hour course is initially required, followed by a 4-hour refresher class every three years. To register, call 1-888-234-1294, and tell them you would like a class in Lakeville.

    Your family will learn all about common invasive species found in Minnesota. Learning how and why they got here and things we can do to help manage them and use them for. We will do this through a combination of games, exploring, and an activity getting to remove some of the invasive species in the park. Great information that you can then take back and apply to removing and controlling invasive species at your home. Make sure to dress for the weather, wearing closed toed shoes and preferably long pants, as all of the class will be spent outdoors!

  2. Father/Daughter Bean Bags Tournament

    Toss some bags during our first ever Father/Daughter Bean Bags Tournament! This tournament will be double elimination so teams are guaranteed to play a minimum of 2 games. Boards will be at a kid friendly distance, games will be played to 15 points, keeping this light an fun for the kids and adults alike. We know kids thrive off individual attention, what better way to connect with you child that to team up together. In between games, continue connecting by taking a walk around the lake, playing some of our other backyard games or share a picnic lunch. These memories will last a lifetime.

  3. Tour of Lakeville

    Join Lakeville Friends of the Environment (LFE) volunteers and Mayor Doug Anderson for a 17-mile bike ride on trails and bike lanes highlighting our parks, lakes and conservation areas.

    Due to COVID-19 we are offering two options:
    -Ride anytime the week of September 19 and post your photos on LFE's Facebook page.
    -Ride in-person with a socially-distanced ride.
