  2. "Matilda The Musical" - CANCELED

January 8, 2021, 7:00 PM @ Lakeville Area Arts Center

    Children's Castle Theatre

Matilda is an elementary-aged bookworm with a TV-worshiping dad and self-obsessed mum. Her home life leads her to the local library where she recites stories of acrobatic performers who long for a child. When Matilda starts school, she ?nds herself enrolled under the evil Headmistress Miss Trunchbull. When Miss Trunchbull’s backwards teaching tactics go too far, it’s up to Matilda to save the day. This unforgettable tale combines upbeat music with snappy choreography and a touch of dark humor. Matilda teaches audiences that “even if you’re little you can do a lot.” Most enjoyed by audiences age 3rd grade through adult.

  1. Music Together Online

    January 8, 2021, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ Online via Zoom

Music Together Online is designed to teach the way young children learn: through play. During each online music class, your teacher will lead music activities for the whole family to sing, play and jam along to and show you how to make everyday items like dish towels, pots, and stuffies into musical props.

The fall program includes the following, all delivered via Zoom:

    • A live, online 30-minute class at your designated class time that is recorded so you can enjoy it again and again
    • A 30-minute “Musical Play Date” each Tuesday at 6:30 pm with various themes, also recorded
    • A 30-minute “Story and Lullaby Time” each Thursday at 6:30 pm, also recorded
    • Five Saturday night family dance parties
    • A monthly “Happy Hour” parent education event just for adults, focusing on early childhood music development and offering you a chance to get your questions answered so you can help your child get the most out of the program
